Impaired by Injury, Revived by Work

When you ask Ezz E-deen about his new career at Irada Center, his pride is evident when he says with enthusiasm ” my feeling is indescribable. It’s the time to learn and be something”.

Ezz E-deen Khamis Rebhi Abdulkhader is 24 years old from the middle area-Gaza. He lives with his family which consists of 11 persons in Al-Nuseirat Camp. His father is a driver, and driving is the only source of income. His three older brothers are graduates, but no one has employed yet. So, the financial situation is incredibly hard.

During Great Return March that Gazens has forged about a year ago on borders, Ezz-Edeen, as hundreds of thousands of youths in Gaza, did participate by his duty in marching peacefully to demand for his rights as a refugee. Unfortunately, he got severely injured in the right leg east of Bureij Camp by a wicked Israeli sniper. His injury has deteriorated to laceration in the leg. He felt powerless and ineffective; his hand and leg could not move without the walking stick.

Ezz’s health and psychological condition has worsened more and more. He was subjected to three operations; however, he still receiving treatment until today. In addition to his poor health condition, he was jobless which added insult to injury. One day, he came across an ad stating that Irada center opens the door for enrolment in some vocational training. He directly indulged in the training, selecting the Electrical Power Extensions & Solar System major among all other majors.

Throughout the training programme, he was practicing all techniques he learnt at Irada center in the house’s construction’s electrical extension from black stuffs to white. Gradually by training and practicing, he became qualified enough to indulge strongly in the business market. At the very beginning, he had been working for his neighbors for nothing. However, “It’s the time to be something. There is something inside motivating me for better’, said Ezz Edeen. He felt the love for existence flooded into his heart thanks to Irada Programme.

His dream kept growing, and the idea of achieving independency and owning a project for himself was occupying his mind. He went on working hard to be self-independent. And he did. Currently, he is working on an apartment, supplying it with black and white stuffs of electricity extensions.

Filled with self-esteem and courageous soul, Ezz E-deen advise his peers who fear the future after injury and live in a fuggy vision to take a step forward and enroll in such training programmes which can change life for better and reach ambition to the safe side.
