Professor Dr Amin Wafi, Professor of Media and Communication Technology in the Department of Journalism and Media at the Faculty of Arts, Islamic University of Gaza, has participated in an international media conference held in Algeria. The conference, themed “Media Regulatory Bodies in the Arab World: Between Social Responsibility and Control Mechanisms”, took place from 16 to 18 February 2026.
Professor Dr Wafi contributed to a session exploring “Mechanisms for Implementing Media Regulation and Establishing Social Responsibility in the Arab World”. During this panel, he presented a research paper entitled: “The Social Responsibility of Palestinian Digital Content Creators During the War of Genocide on Gaza (2023–2025): A Field Study”.
The research paper outlined a series of practical and professional findings and recommendations, which were highly commended by both the conference organisers and fellow participants.
