IUG signs cooperation agreement and memorandum of understanding with Islamic University of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin in Banten, Indonesia

The Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) has taken a significant step in expanding its international partnerships by signing a cooperation agreement and memorandum of understanding with the Islamic University of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin in Banten, Indonesia. The agreement aims at enhancing the capabilities of the university’s staff and students, as well as fostering international understanding and cooperation between the two universities.

The memorandum was signed by Professor Nasser Farhat, President of the Islamic University, and Professor Wa’wan Wahyuddin, President of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin in Banten. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Khaled Al-Hallaq, Dean of External Affairs at the Islamic University, and Dr. Hedayat Allah, Vice President of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin.

The agreement also includes a cooperation between the Faculty of Sharia and Law, the Faculty of Islamic Theology at the Islamic University, and the Faculty of Sharia at Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin.

Under the agreement, the two universities will collaborate to develop joint academic programs, improve the level of scientific research in the fields of Sharia, law, and Islamic studies, and organize conferences, seminars, and workshops. The universities will also provide academic and administrative assistance, as well as cultural visits and training courses.

Dr. Khaled Al-Hallaq, Dean of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the importance of this agreement in building bridges of understanding between the two universities and enhancing international cooperation and academic exchange.

The Islamic University’s commitment to diversifying its international partnerships is expected to create new opportunities for its staff and students, and contribute to the development of the university’s academic programs and research initiatives.
