IUG holds a series of training programs to develop youth skills

Alumni Affairs Department at Community Service and Continuing Education Deanship (CSCED), in cooperation with External Affairs Deanship at Islamic University of Gaza (IUG), and with a fund from the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), held 13 training and rehabilitation courses within development projects targeting male and female graduates and students at advanced levels from various Palestinian universities.

Development projects include rehabilitation and development programs in several areas aiming at enhancing soft, functional and technical skills necessary for the Palestinian labor market, improving youth capabilities in multiple management skills and modern strategies for building and managing volunteer work teams.

The objectives of the programs include developing the skills of fresh and old graduates as well as students at third and fourth levels from various universities and refining their capabilities in line with the requirements of the labor market. The programs focus on several important dimensions, namely networking with institutions and individuals, communication, understanding work environment, training by work teams, leadership and management, writing CV’s and cover letters in Arabic and English languages ​​(professional and academic), motivation letters, mastering job interviews, freelancing, telecommuting, building volunteer work teams, and some other skills needed to start work.

A number of (370) graduates and students from various disciplines joined the courses at a rate of (10-12) intensive training hours for each course.

The Alumni Affairs Department provides a variety of services to graduates and those expected to graduate such as: employment, training, volunteer opportunities, and counseling meetings in order to rehabilitate and refine the skills of graduates for local and international markets.
