
The Islamic University of Gaza has advanced to fourth place among Palestinian universities and 96th across the Arab world in the QS Arab University Rankings 2025. This marks significant progress from its previous placement in the 111-120 range in the 2024 rankings. The rankings evaluate universities based on three critical criteria:
1- Citations per Paper: The university achieved an impressive score of 96/100, placing it among the leading institutions in the Arab world.
2- International Research Network: The university scored 42.6, reflecting its growing global collaboration.
3- Web Impact: With a score of 78.4/100, the university demonstrated strong online visibility and influence.
Professor Ayman H. Al-Saqqa, President of the Islamic University, praised the dedication and contributions of the university’s staff, who have played a pivotal role in attaining these advanced rankings despite the challenging circumstances in Gaza. He emphasised the importance of fostering global, regional, and national ranking systems as a means to enhance the quality of education, advance scientific research, and serve the community effectively.
