The Islamic University Journal of Economic and Business Studies, published by the Islamic University of Gaza, has achieved first place in the field of Economic, Financial, and Business Sciences, encompassing 174 journals. This prestigious ranking is part of the 9th Annual Report of the Arab Citation and Impact Factor (Arcif) for 2024. The recognition follows a thorough review and analysis of over 850,000 research papers published in academic and scientific journals across the Arab world, documented and indexed in Arcif’s annual reports.

The journal, a peer-reviewed electronic publication, is issued quarterly under the professional oversight of an independent editorial board and the full supervision of the Deanship of Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies at the Islamic University of Gaza. It focuses on publishing original research in economic and administrative sciences in both Arabic and English, contributed by researchers within and beyond the university. The journal exclusively publishes materials reflecting the views and findings of their respective authors and adheres strictly to the university’s philosophy and the values of the Palestinian people.

Professor Hamdi Zorob, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at the Islamic University of Gaza and Editor-in-Chief of the journal, expressed his pride in the university’s achievement. He attributed the ranking to the outstanding academic contributions of the university’s scholars in the fields of economics, finance, and business administration. Professor Zorob highlighted the significance of this accomplishment, which comes despite challenging circumstances, reaffirming the university’s commitment to academic excellence and research innovation.

It is worth noting that the Arcif 2024 report evaluated the work of 311,000 Arab authors, whose collective contributions totalled 850,000 scholarly articles. The report revealed that over 85,000 Arab authors had their academic work cited, underscoring the significant impact of their research.
