Canadian Nephrologist Imparts Expertise on Kidney Diseases to IUG Doctors

The Islamic University of Gaza welcomed Dr. Ben Thomson, a Canadian Nephrologist and Consultant, to the Faculty of Medicine. As part of the kidney diseases course, Dr. Thompson delivered three lectures to students of the sixth level. He considered medical history, clinical examination, and lab tests for treatment.

Dr. Thompson was grateful for visiting the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University. He admired the services the faculty provided for students and the Palestinian community. “That IUG enhances the capabilities of its teaching staff and students despite the hard conditions is a great work that will pay off.”

“We are glad that we have formed a widespread network that connects faculties of medicine around the globe with IUG’s. IUG Faculty of Medicine provides academic exchange opportunities with prestigious universities from Europe, Turkey, and Malaysia. We are committed to teaching our future doctors the most recent advances in the medical field,” said Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghazali, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, commending the event.
