Go Digital Project Opening Ceremony

Now that local career opportunities have become limited, the window for online jobs has opened. Studying the global market, the stakeholders found that international companies lack expertise in a range of specializations, such as translation, graphic design, content writing, and social media.

The number of unemployed graduates in the Gaza Strip is increasing. Thus, the business and technology incubator at IUG implements projects to eliminate the consequences of this catastrophic challenge. In fact, it helps youth view the world differently as they build the future they have been dreaming of.

Go Digital Project Opening Ceremony

Go Digital is a project funded by the government of Japan and implemented by BTi in partnership with the International Trade Centre (ITC) in Switzerland. The goal of this development project is to maintain social and economic sustainability in the region.

The opening ceremony was held in the conference hall at IUG. Attendants included Prof. Sufyan Tayeh; the University President; Dr. Mosheer Amer, the Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education; Eng. Basem Qandeel, the CEO of BTi; and Dr. Eman Bseiso, a consultant at ITC.

Go Digital Opening Ceremony

Go Digital 2023 program targets two hundred and fifty graduates, among whom forty have special needs. The project description includes activities to upgrade the trainees’ technical, freelancing, and entrepreneurial skills. Hopefully, by the end of this year, every one of the trainees will have obtained a well-paid career or led a successful business.
