“We look forward to cooperating with the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Islamic University of Gaza in the upcoming projects. Our mission is to boost the students’ experience during their study years. We aim to aid them in offering efficient medical services, especially in the physical therapy sector.”
MSF delegates visited IUG to explore areas of collaboration. They hope to work with the Faculty of Health Sciences on future initiatives. They were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Abdul Raouf Al-Manama, the Dean of Quality and Development; and Dr. Mazen Alzaharna, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The visiting team consisted of four members: Beatriz Garcia Fernandez, MSF Gaza Project Coordinator; Dejani Diwasuriandra, Director of Medical Activities; Michelle Ravel, Director of Nursing Activities; and Nadia Abu Mallouh, Assistant Field Coordinator.
During the visit, the delegation took a tour around the faculty departments, especially the newly opened ones, such as medical imaging and clinical nutrition. That gave them insights into the services and facilities the university provides to advance the level of students, with a notable focus on the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The university staff is proud to have welcomed a delegation of esteemed visitors who expressed their admiration for the IUG institution’s rapid renaissance and international partnerships. The university museum was a highlight of their tour, showcasing the academic exchange projects that have benefited the teaching staff and students of the university. IUG enthusiastically continues to cultivate global relationships and advance its mission to provide a world-class education to anyone who seeks it.
Dr. Alzaharna was also glad that the delegation expressed willingness to cooperate in future projects that serve students in their various stages of study in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
