The Islamic University of Gaza held a ceremony in the conference hall to celebrate the graduation of a new group from the Faculty of Education and Sciences. That included students who completed their bachelor’s degree in the disciplines of biology teaching methods, chemistry teaching methods, computer teaching methods, mathematics teaching methods, science teaching methods, Islamic education, and psychological counseling; and students who completed the requirements of the master’s and doctoral degrees in the specializations of education rehabilitation and crisis and disaster management.
The event was attended by Prof. Nasser Farhat, the University President; Prof. Elian El-Holi, the Vice President of Academic Affairs; Dr. Ibrahim AL-Astal, the Dean of the Faculty of Education; Dr. Bishr Eqilan, the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, and members of the academic and administrative bodies of the faculty. Furthermore, the families and loved ones of the students were cordially invited to join them in this exceptional event.

The Palestinian Identity
Throughout his speech to the audience at the ceremony, Prof. Farht noted that the cultural identity of the Palestinians reflects their true essence; thus, they invest their energy in uplifting the educational level of future generations. “It’s worth acknowledging that, despite difficult circumstances, they have managed to build several academic institutions, with the Islamic University of Gaza being the most prominent,” he said. “This accomplishment marks our glorious culture and people.”
Alumni Speech
On behalf of her classmates, Wala Sondoka gave a speech to express their happiness and pride on that memorable day. She said, “The odor of jasmine flowers filling the room takes us back to the past years we spent on the path of knowledge, searching for an honorable life in the distinguished school, IUG.”
“Today, we add beauty to the universe; wearing our graduation gowns, we display a remarkable painting on the graduation stage,” added Sondoka.

Excellence Award
Starting with the graduation protocol, Dr. El-Holi, Prof. Farhat, Dr. AL-Astal, and Dr. Eqilan gave the award plaque to the students Samir Srour, who placed first in the Faculty of Sciences with a grade of 96.79 %, and Hanaa Mughari, the first in the Faculty of Education with a rate of 95.4 %
