The Islamic University of Gaza celebrated the graduation of its 42nd cohort from the Faculty of Medicine. The ceremony was held in the conference hall at the Islamic University in the presence of Prof. Nasser Farhat, the University President; Dr. Mohammed Al-Aklouk, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Fadel Naim, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and members of the academic and administrative bodies of the Faculty of Medicine. Additionally, the families and loved ones of the graduates were cordially invited to partake in this momentous event.

Advanced Ranking
In his speech before the ceremony audience, Dr. Al-Aklouk emphasized that the Islamic University today takes one of the top places at the international level, as it is listed among the most innovative universities around the world. Locally, it ranks first in the Gaza Strip and second in Palestine.
Dr. Al-Aklouk commended the significant progress that the students of the Faculty of Medicine achieved. “The results of the neurosurgery exam organized by the Arab Board of Health Specializations were released two days ago. 31 physicians from various Arab nations successfully passed the exam, including four individuals from the Gaza Strip. It is an honor to see three doctors from the Islamic University receiving the highest grades,” he continued.
He added, “IUG makes the best endeavors to provide the students with excellent educational services. It is the only university that suggests programs for people with special needs. This place supports innovation, incubates start-up ideas, and helps students lead their own businesses.

Alumni Speech
Speaking on behalf of her classmates, Ansam Abu Amran expressed her gratitude for being on the graduation stage, as it is one of the happiest moments of her life. “And here we are, eventually, standing on the stage wearing the graduation gowns. We have been waiting for this moment for too long. The beauty of our fatigued eyes, our fathers’ grey hair, and our mothers’ wrinkles shows the untold of our success stories,” she proceeded.

Excellence Award
Starting with the graduation protocol, Dr. Al-Aklouk, Prof. Farhat, and Dr. Naim gave the award plaque to the student Ruba Ismaeil, who placed first in the Faculty of Medicine with a grade of 92.52%.
