Continuing the series of 2023 graduation ceremonies, The Islamic University of Gaza celebrated the graduation of a group of Translation students from the English Department in the Faculty of Arts. The ceremony was held in the conference hall at the Islamic University of Gaza and was attended by the University President, Prof. Nasser Farhat; Dr. Mohammed Al-Aklouk, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Osama Hammad, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts; and members of the academic and administrative bodies of the Faculty of Arts. Also, the graduate students shared this special occasion with their families and loved ones.

International Networking
In his speech before the ceremony attendants, Prof. Farhat highlighted that the Islamic University works in partnership with more than 300 universities in different parts of the world, including England, France, Italy, Turkey, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, and South Africa. He added that IUG is a permanent partner in EU programs for scientific research and higher education development, which enhances academic exchange with Arab and European universities. Prof. Farhat also pointed out that IUG is a member of many associations, such as the International Association of Universities, the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), the Association of Arab Universities (AARU), the Mediterranean Universities Union, and the Association of Asian Universities.
Alumni Speech
Speaking on behalf of her classmates, Serene Omar Nsrallah expressed pride in their remarkable achievements. She gratefully said, “It is an honor to stand on the graduation stage today after four years loaded with tempests of different kinds: COVID-19 pandemic, e-learning difficulties, and brutal aggressions. We nourished our dreams with diligence and patience to make them a reality!” Nsrallah concluded her speech by sending heartfelt thanks to the professors, who devoted themselves to enhancing their knowledge and experience, her parents, who provided guidance every step of the way, and her friends, who accompanied her throughout that long journey.

Excellence Award
Starting with the graduation protocol, Dr. Al-Aklouk, Prof. Farhat, and Dr. Hammad gave the excellence award to the student Serene Nsrallah, who placed first in the Faculty of Arts with a grade of 95.09%.
