Entrepreneurship & Innovation: NEW Bachelor’s Program in Business Admins

After receiving accreditation from the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, the Islamic University opened registration for a new bachelor’s program: Business Administration, Entrepreneurship & Innovation. 

Prof. Salem Helles, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, noted that the program plays a significant role in social and economic development, emphasizing that it focuses on the skill and knowledge required to launch innovative projects that meet market needs. Enrolling in the program, the students can improve their small businesses and export their products and services to the international market. They can also learn e-commerce, freelancing, and management skills, which facilitates reaching the desired goals of the business. 

The study plan aims to improve networking and problem-solving skills. Besides, it suggests strategies to use information technology to connect the organization’s components together so that data collection and decision-making becomes easier and more effective.  

Program Objectives

  • Prepare qualified and specialized cadres who understand and discuss modern methods and systems of business management, entrepreneurship, and virtual enterprises
  • Help undergraduates launch online business projects 
  • Provide the local market with eligible graduates to apply digital transformation following the governmental institutions’ strategies
  • Assist companies and business institutions in decision-making by organizing and integrating different activities into computer software
  • Helps the student acquire self-learning and critical-thinking skills

Program Outputs

  • Understand the economic situation of the local, regional, and global institutions 
  • Apply financial theories, conduct analysis, and prepare reports 
  • Learn about career developments, applied research, innovative ideas, and future orientations for entrepreneurial fields 
  • Study the impact of these updates on theoretical knowledge and applications 
  • Give the student logical insights into the needed theoretical concepts and experimental opportunities to enhance prospects of project success  
  • Give students opportunities to interact with a unique business environment
  • Enable the student to employ the tools in project management and decision-making processes
  • Upgrade the students’ communication skills to articulate thoughts and info easily and effectively
  • Support the students’ ability to use analytical information systems to convey business ideas and understand the market size to make entrepreneurial decisions
  • Use IT effectively and understand the complex dynamics of the global trade

Areas of work 

The entrepreneurship and Innovation bachelor program addresses the growing demand in the Palestinian market, driven by the rise of private institutions and NGOs that look for bachelor’s degree graduates in this field. The program equips its graduates with various skills, most notably self-employment, enabling them to establish their own entrepreneurial ventures. Additionally, graduates are prepared to undertake roles involving the planning of both traditional and electronic business projects in local and global organizations. They also gain expertise in designing, implementing, and managing online business websites, as well as effectively managing their operations.

Furthermore, the program fosters the graduates’ ability to select the appropriate technical tools and applications necessary for project success. It also helps them master marketing skills, which are essential to promote products and services, and facilitates sharing project information remotely. Ultimately, the program not only qualifies students for remote work in management but also positions them to excel in entrepreneurial consultation at the local level.
