The experience developed through scientific knowledge exchange is fundamental for promoting the medical sciences. Aiming to advance the capabilities of future doctors in the Gaza Strip, the staff of the Faculty of Medicine organized Surgery Scientific Day at IUG.
During the event, IUG hosted academic Indian and Turkish delegations, consisting of four specialists in surgery and plastic surgery. To explore the latest updates in the field, Dr. Mahesh Prabhu gave an introductory lecture about plastic surgery, and Dr. Wafi Attallah delivered a lecture entitled “Fecal incontinence, ancient problem new solutions”.

Dr. Naim, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at IUG, expressed sincere gratitude to the visiting delegation, acknowledging their efforts in making the event successful. He stressed that such lectures contribute to the quality improvement of medical education. Also, Dr. Al-Hams, the Head of the Surgery Department, pointed out that the scientific days regularly held at the Faculty of Medicine develop the student’s knowledge of modern surgical techniques.

The visiting delegation commended the Faculty of Medicine and its students, highlighting their exceptional performance during the scientific day. They praised the faculty’s active involvement in academic pursuits and research, as well as their remarkable dedication to education.
At the end of the event, the Faculty of Medicine awarded certificates of honor to the participants and guests. The team of the host university was proud of the scientific day’s success.
