The first Ph.D. dissertation in Finance and Administrative sciences has been discussed at the Islamic University of Gaza. IUG and Al-Azhar University have given this degree as part of the joint doctoral programs between the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at both universities.
AbedAllah R. Al-Khoudari has been awarded a degree in Business Administration after completing the thesis entitled “How the Digital Marketing Mix Promotes Mental Images of the Palestinian Cellular Communications Sector in the Gaza Strip: The Mediating Role of Social Media”.

The thesis discussion committee consisted of five members from different higher education institutions. While Prof. Nihaya El-telbani and Dr. Ali Abuzaid represented AUG, Dr. Rushdi Wadi represented IUG. Besides the supervisors, Dr. Samir Beydoun, an external discussant from Birzeit University, and Prof. Mohammed Salem, a professor at the University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS), attended the discussion.

IUG and AUG conducted a ceremony celebrating this remarkable event at the IUG conference hall. The Presidents of the two universities, Prof. Nasser Farahat and Prof. Omar Melad, respectively, honored the achievement and encouraged further strategic partnerships between The Department of Business Administration and other sectors.

The Deans of the Faculties of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the Deans of Higher Education added such partnerships aid in developing scientific research that serves the community.
