Islamic University’s Faculty of Engineering successfully concluded the 8th International Engineering Conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainability, aiming to attract global researchers and specialists to share their groundbreaking research and experiences in the field. The conference served as a platform for fostering knowledge exchange, strengthening partnerships, and fostering new collaborative ventures.
Under the distinguished presence of Professor Khalil Al-Astal, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Professor Mohammed Al-Hanjouri, an esteemed faculty member in the Computer Department, the conference commenced with its inaugural scientific sessions. Esteemed academics, researchers, and students from the Faculty of Engineering congregated to participate in these sessions.
The scientific sessions of the engineering conference focused on stimulating discussions revolving around fiber optic communications, control systems, their practical applications, and communication and control technologies. Additionally, the sessions addressed the critical subject matters of power electronics and smart cities, emphasizing effective management strategies for these domains.
In conjunction with the 8th International Engineering Conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainability, the Faculty of Engineering organized an insightful workshop titled “Supporting Creative Ideas and Innovation Practices for Small and Medium-Sized Projects in the Green Economy.” The workshop, conducted in collaboration with the Palestinian Fund for Employment and the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), served as a platform for both institutions to showcase their expertise and share experiences in fostering creative ideas and innovative practices within the green economy sector.
