Prof. Dr. Nasser Farhat, the esteemed President of the Islamic University of Gaza, was recently honored to host a delegation from the Palestinian National Economic Empowerment Institution (PNEEI), led by Dr. Hatem Ashour, the Director of PNEEI in Gaza, in his office at the university. The purpose of the visit was to explore opportunities for the development and enhancement of cooperation between the two parties.
The meeting was attended by several distinguished individuals from the university, including Dr. Ahmed Mohaisen, Vice President of Administrative Affairs; Dr. Said Al Ghorra, Dean of Student Affairs; and Dr. Sami Shaat, Deputy Dean of External Relations Affairs.
During the visit, Dr. Ashour paid tribute to the university’s pioneering role in the community and its significant contributions to empowering the youth. He recognized the university’s remarkable ability to transform creative ideas into innovative development projects and emphasized the importance of strengthening the relationship between the two institutions. Dr. Ashour also highlighted the need to encourage university students to launch entrepreneurial ideas in various fields and specializations.
The meeting attendees had a fruitful discussion about the mechanisms and ideas for empowering youth to establish entrepreneurial projects. They explored various training and incubation programs that could create job opportunities for the youth, especially in challenging economic conditions. The participants agreed on building an effective partnership relationship to pave the way for a better future for Palestinian university students and graduates.
The visit served as a testament to the dedication and commitment of both parties towards empowering the youth and creating new opportunities for economic development.
