The Extracurricular Activities and Volunteer Work Unit at the Islamic University of Gaza collaborated with the Political and Moral Guidance Authority at the Ministry of Interior and National Security to organize a technical lecture titled “Post-Millennial Generation Internet Technologies”. The lecture was delivered by Engineer Ashraf Mushtaha, an expert in technology and information security, and was attended by a group of university students.

The lecture addressed the culture surrounding the use of various types of smart devices, highlighting the fact that security and privacy have become non-existent concepts for many individuals due to their lack of knowledge on the correct and useful ways to utilize these technologies and devices.

Engineer Mushtaha emphasized during the lecture that the level of security in our present world largely depends on the user’s behavior. He stressed the significance of safeguarding personal information from theft, publication, and sharing on social media platforms in order to mitigate unanticipated catastrophic risks such as cyber extortion.

The technical lecture comprised several topics in digital transformation areas and types such as cloud computing. Engineer Mushtaha also discussed the most crucial pillars that need to be adopted for information security, while the lecture also touched upon the subjects of digital and cybersecurity, differentiating between the two.

The technical lecture on post-Millennial internet technologies emphasized the importance of protecting personal information and adopting effective security measures in the digital age. It highlighted the need for continued awareness and education on safe and effective technology use.
