Medical Laboratory Sciences Department holds scientific meeting to introduce technological developments in labs world

The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Islamic University of Gaza organized a scientific meeting entitled “Modern Technologies in Medical Laboratory Sciences,” aimed at introducing the latest technological developments in the world of laboratory equipment. Sponsored by the Holy Land Medical Supplies Company, the meeting was attended by Dr. Mazen Al-Zaharnah, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, as well as Eng. Emad Al-Masri and Eng. Adnan Skaik, representatives from the sponsoring company.

During the meeting, participants discussed the most prominent modern technologies that have been developed in the field of laboratory equipment, as well as the necessary standards for handling medical equipment and the basic skills required to work in medical device manufacturing companies. The aim was to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in the field, in order to enhance their abilities and improve the quality of services and outputs of the university.

Dr. Al-Zaharnah highlighted the important role that medical laboratories play in diagnosing medical conditions, serving patients, and facilitating the work of doctors who rely on laboratory results for 70% of their decisions. He also emphasized the progress made by modern medical technology in improving the quality of healthcare provided to patients worldwide, while maintaining the highest safety and security standards.

Eng. Al-Masri expressed his pride in the partnership between the Holy Land Medical Supplies Company and the Islamic University, and underlined the importance of continuing to hold such scientific meetings to keep up with the latest technological advancements in the world of medical laboratory equipment.

Eng. Skaik reviewed the latest medical laboratory technologies during the meeting, including the CPC device for blood analysis and examination, and the chemistry analyzer for examining the structures of blood cells and antibodies, as well as providing tips on the necessary procedures to be followed to avoid accidents, damages and medical errors while working inside laboratories.

Overall, the scientific meeting was a success, providing attendees with a wealth of information and knowledge that will help them to better understand the latest developments in the field of medical laboratory equipment. The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at the Islamic University of Gaza looks forward to organizing similar events in the future to continue to promote the latest technological advancements in the world of medical laboratory sciences.
