Four IUG researchers receive funding from Palestinian-Quebec Science Bridge

Four researchers at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) have been granted funding for research visits to Canadian universities, thanks to the 4th Palestinian-Quebec Science Bridge. The Bridge is overseen by the Palestinian Academy of Science and Technology and aims to enhance collaboration and knowledge-sharing between researchers in Palestine and Quebec.

The announcement was made by Professor Dr. Yousef Aljaish, Dean of Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies at the Islamic University. He noted that the university has been participating in the Science Bridge since its first cycle, and many colleagues have already received funding for research, scientific, and training visits to prestigious universities and research centers in the Quebec region of Canada.

The researchers who have been granted funding include Dr. Saeb Al-Awaini from the Faculty of Science, Dr. Iyad Al-Agha from the Faculty of Information Technology, Dr. Mamoun Al-Qedrah from the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Azam Abu Habib. Dr. Al-Awaini will be visiting the University of Montreal, while Dr. Al-Agha will be visiting Concordia University. Dr. Al-Qedrah will be visiting Université Laval, and Dr. Abu Habib will be visiting Université du Québec à Montréal.

The Palestinian-Quebec Science Bridge is an important initiative that aims to provide opportunities for researchers in Palestinian universities to conduct scientific and research visits to universities and research centers in Quebec, Canada. The ultimate goal of the program is to transfer expertise, exchange knowledge, and develop the scientific research system in Palestinian universities.
