A player from the Islamic University table tennis team, Saleh Amer Al-Ja’farawi, represented Palestine in the World Table Tennis Championship held in Qatar. Al-Ja’farawi had won first place in a table tennis tournament at the Islamic University before he left Gaza to play in the world championship.
In the “WTT Feeder Doha 2023” championship, which saw the participation of over 100 players from around the world, Al-Ja’farawi performed admirably and advanced to the round of 16 before losing to a Korean player.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Ja’farawi also participated in the Arab States Table Tennis Championship held in Egypt from December 25 to 31, 2022, representing Palestine.
Al-Ja’farawi’s participation in these international championships is a significant achievement for the Islamic University and the Palestinian sports community.
