Graduate of Faculty of Education at Islamic University Takes Second Place in 2022 Palestine Creative Teacher Competition

Asmaa Mustafa, a graduate of the English Language Department of the Faculty of Education at the Islamic University, has been awarded second place in the 2022 Palestine Creative Teacher Competition. The competition, which is organized annually by the Ministry of Education and the Teaching Profession Development Authority, aims to recognize the achievements of teachers across Palestine. A total of 14 teachers were nominated by the respective education directorates, with Ms. Mustafa from the Halima Al-Saadiya Primary School for Girls in the North Gaza Education Directorate earning the top spot in the Gaza Strip.

The competition comprised several stages, including an initial evaluation of the electronic teacher’s file and a final stage where nominees were evaluated through a classroom session. Ms. Mustafa was the only nominee from the Gaza Strip to compete at the national level, alongside two teachers from the West Bank.

It is noteworthy that Ms. Mustafa has received numerous accolades for her teaching excellence, including the World Teacher Award from the Awards AKS Education organization in India and the title of Exemplary Teacher in her school for the year 2019. Furthermore, she holds memberships as a Microsoft Innovative Expert and as a member of the National Geographic Education Advisory Council. Additionally, she launched the Global Partnership Project in Education, using an e-twinning approach to connect students with the outside world.
