The Islamic University’s Deanship of Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies has announced the distinguished international researchers who applied for the International Publication Reward in its third session for the year 2022.
Prof. Dr. Yousef Al-Jaish, Dean of Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies, indicated that the Islamic University is keen to encourage university researchers to publish their research in prestigious international databases. It has resulted in an increase in the university’s research volume published in journals indexed in global databases, the most important of which are Scopus and Web of Science. That has contributed to the achievement of “Goal 200”, which aimed to publish 200 studies in journals indexed in global databases during the last period, resulting in entering the Islamic University, for the first time, in the world ranking of The Times Higher Education Arab University among the best 100 universities in the Arab world.
Prof. Dr. Al-Jaish pointed out that the categories of applicants for the international publication reward were divided into four categories:
Category 1 included: Dr. Bassam Tayeh, Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Dr. Sufian Tayeh, Faculty of Science; Prof. Dr. Nasser Abu Al-Nour, Faculty of Nursing; and Prof. Dr. Hala Al-Khozondar, Faculty of Engineering.
Category 2 included: Prof. Dr. Yousef Al-Jaish, Faculty of Nursing; Prof. Dr. Abdelraouf Elmanama, Faculty of Health Sciences; and Prof. Dr. Majed Yassin, Faculty of Medicine.
Category 3 included: Prof. Dr. Ammar Abu Hadrous, Prof. Dr. Mazen Abu Al-Taif, and Prof. Dr. Fadi Al-Nahhal, Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Iyad Al-Agha, Faculty of Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Khamis Al-Essi and Dr. Bilal Al-Dabour, Faculty of Medicine, Ms. Itimad Al-Attar, and Prof. Dr. Nizam Al-Ashqar, Faculty of Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Khader Khader and Dr. Amjad Al-Mufti, Faculty of Arts, and Dr. Rafik Radwan, Faculty of Sharia and Law.
Category 4 included: Dr. Ahmed Al-Rantisi, Faculty of Arts, Dr. Siddiq Nassar and Dr. Muhammad Al-Ashi, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Dr. Saeb Al-Owaini, Dr. Rami Morgan, Prof. Dr. Yasser Al-Nahhal, and Prof. Dr. Raed Salha, Faculty of Science, Dr. Maysoon Abdel Aziz, Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Munawar Najm, Dr. Somaya Saima, and Dr. Basil Al-Khodary,-Faculty of Education, Dr. Mazen Al-Zaharna, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Dr. Abdul-Karim Al-Ashqar, Faculty of Information Technology, and Dr. Moayad Al-Moubayed, Faculty of Engineering.
It is noteworthy that the university grants a symbolic financial reward for each research production that is published in international publications, in order to encourage faculty members and postgraduate students at the university to publish in scientific journals indexed in international databases, which contributes to improving and strengthening the university’s position in international rankings.
