The Islamic University of Gaza honored its alumnus, Iqbal Sufyan Radwan, for winning first place in the social sciences competition held by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in 2022.
Radwan’s study, which focused on the impact of social media on the spread of panic among elementary and secondary school students during the COVID-19 pandemic, was published in the international journal Heliyon, which was ranked first in the Scopus database with an impact factor of 3.77.
Ms. Itimad Al-Attar, a faculty member in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Sciences, oversaw the research team, which also included Ms. Afnan Sufyan Radwan and Ms. Walaa Radwan. Prof. Nasser Farhat and Prof. Yousef Al-Jaish congratulated the team and lauded their research, which was published in esteemed international journals.
