The Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University of Gaza superintended the project of supplying eight dialysis units to the hospitals of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, with a generous donation from Eng. Abdelsalam Al-Halabi and Prof. Dr. Izdiad Badran from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Dr. Fadel Naim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University, thanked the donors and supporters of the project, pointing out that the project is essential and comes under the framework of continuous cooperation with the Ministry of Health to provide medical services to the Gazan people.

Dr. Naim confirmed that eight dialysis units and chairs were distributed to six centers in Gaza, noting that the medical sector, given the difficult conditions it suffers from, needs numerous devices to protect citizens and save their lives from various diseases.

Dr. Suhaib Al-Hams, Head of the Surgery Department at the Faculty of Medicine, addressed the fact that about 1,000 patients in the Strip are suffering from kidney failure and are in dire need of dialysis sessions, and that each unit serves 50  patients per month.
