The Department of Multimedia and Web Development in the Faculty of Information Technology at the Islamic University held the Multimedia Day “Cocktail 6” in the presence of Dr. Iyad Al-Shami, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Ashraf Al-Moghari, Head of the Multimedia and Web Development Department, in addition to a number of specialists and interested people, members of the academic and administrative bodies, and a large crowd of faculty students.
Opening session
In his speech before the opening session, Dr. Al-Shami noted that the world is witnessing new technologies of importance in the field of multimedia and that it is the responsibility of the faculty to introduce students to the latest developments in these fields, which represent the future. Through organizing activities, the faculty seeks to develop students’ skills and refine them to meet the needs of the labor market.
Dr. Al-Moghari stressed the importance of the academic day, which deals with topics aimed at opening new horizons for students and keeping them informed of the latest technological developments in the fields of multimedia and web development. He indicated that naming the day a cocktail was appropriate due to the multiplicity and diversity of topics that will be presented and the diversity of work that characterizes the specializations of the Faculty of Information Technology.
Multimedia Day Domains
The first domain was held under the title “Computer Fiji and the World of Metaverse,” in which Mr. Muhammad Al-Agha discussed AI drawing and design and Ms. Dana Al-Lababidi clarified the metaverse and 3D games.
In the second domain, Mr. Abdullah Ahmed addressed a lecture entitled “Web 3 and Blockchain Technology,” and Mr. Ismail Al-Safadi spoke about “Digital Security.”
In the third domain, entitled “Trademarks and Motion Graphics,” Mr. Bara Zourub presented the trademark and visual identity, Mr. Ahmed Sami spoke about After Effects, and Mr. Abdullah Al-Naqla gave a presentation of work models of Multimedia Department students.
At the end of the multimedia day, the results of the “Best Designer” competition were announced, and the winners were honored.
