Dr. Kamalin Shaat, former President of the Islamic University, participated in an academic meeting in Amman, Jordan, attended by a large gathering of representatives of Dutch, Jordanian, and Palestinian universities and a number of formal and informal officials from the Netherlands, Jordan, Palestine, and the European Union.
This meeting was arranged between the national offices of the European Educational Program Erasmus+ in the Netherlands, Jordan, and Palestine. Dr. Shaat attended the meeting as a representative of the Islamic University and was the only one from the Gaza Strip universities.
The meeting mainly included bilateral meetings between representatives of Dutch universities on the one hand and representatives of Jordanian and Palestinian universities on the other hand. The meetings aimed at introducing Dutch universities to their counterparts from universities in Jordan and Palestine, and finding a broader basis for cooperation to provide joint projects involving the exchange of students, academics, and administrative staff, thus enhancing the intensity of academic experience among them.
The meeting included the introduction of other cooperation programs that could be applied to, thereby enhancing the opportunity to exchange experiences among universities in the countries concerned.
