Former President of Royal College of Surgeons of England visits Faculty of Medicine and lauds its advancement and students

Professor Sir Terence English, former President of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the first doctor to perform open-heart surgery, visited the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University of Gaza.

During his visit, Professor English met with Dr. Fadel Naim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, in the presence of Dr. Sobhi Skaik, Director General of Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital, and a group of members of the Faculty of Medicine’s Council.

Dr. Naim welcomed Professor English and briefed him on the goals, vision, and aspirations of the Faculty of Medicine and the faculty’s academic relations inside and outside Palestine.

Professor English expressed his happiness at meeting with the students of the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University, where he has followed its progress and development since its establishment.

Professor English showed his admiration for the Palestinian people’s ability in general and the students of the Faculty of Medicine in particular to make achievements, challenge the difficult conditions they face, and reach top places at world levels.
