Islamic University of Gaza won the first and second places in the international programming competition for Palestinian university students in its fourth round for the year 2022. It was organized by the Palestinian Information Sciences and Technology Syndicate, and hosted by the University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS), with the participation of 29 teams, representing 7 academic institutions in the Gaza Strip.
The first place was won by the Enigma team, which included Mr. Zaki Kurdiya, Mr. Ibrahim Isleem and Mr. Youssef Abu Samra, and the second place by the Hash Hex Gang team, which included Mr. Muhammad Mansour, Mr. Ahmed Abu Sharar and Mr. Osama Rashid. The two teams are now qualified for the regional competition in Egypt.
It is worth noting that the competition aims to develop the capabilities of university students in the Gaza Strip in the programming areas, the use of algorithms, and planning to collectively solve problems, in addition to enhancing competitiveness at the local and global levels by providing an appropriate atmosphere to showcase students’ creativity in these areas.
