The Islamic University of Gaza received a delegation from the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) consisting of two expert researchers in the field of early childhood: Mona Nicolaysen and Marie Skeie, as part of the project “Development of Qualification Programs for Early Childhood and Lower Primary Teachers in Palestine and Norway – Norpal”, and as a continuation of the joint cooperation between the University of South-Eastern Norway and the Islamic University of Gaza.
The two researchers were received by Prof. Ibrahim Al-Astal, Dean of the Faculty of Education; Prof. Sana Abu Daqqa, Member of the Advisory Board of the Norpal Project; Dr. Somaya Saimeh, Head of the Center for Women’s Studies; and Eng. Sherihan Al-Masry, Coordinator of the NorPal Project.

Prof. Al-Astal welcomed the two researchers, appreciated their visit to the Islamic University, and discussed with them ways of cooperation and participation in some scientific meetings within the Master of Education in Childhood at the University, in order to transfer global experiences, especially Norwegian, in early childhood education.
During the visit, the two parties discussed the details of completing the joint scientific research between Prof. Al-Astal and the two researchers, Mona Nicolaysen and Marie Skeie, with Dr. Andres from the University of South-Eastern Norway, and Dr. Manal Abu Munshar from Hebron University, which is one of the activities of the joint childhood education project between the University of South-Eastern Norway and the Islamic University of Gaza.
