Prof. Youssef Al-Jaish, Dean of Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies at the Islamic University of Gaza, announced that the journals of the Islamic University have obtained advanced positions in the Arab Citation & Impact Factor (Arcif), which is one of the knowledge database initiatives for scientific content.
Prof. Al-Jaish indicated that the Islamic University Journal for Educational and Psychological Studies ranked 15th in the Arab world out of the total number of journals in the Arcif factors, which numbered (1000) scientific journals, as it obtained a factor of (0.7764) for the year 2022. The journal was ranked 4th in the field of psychology and 14th in the field of educational science.
While the Islamic University Journal for Economic and Administrative Studies ranked 20th at Arab level out of the total number of journals in the Arcif factors, which numbered (1000) scientific journals, as it obtained a factor of (0.6585) for the year 2022. The journal ranked 1st in the field of economics and 2nd in the fields of business administration, and economics and financial sciences.
Prof. Al-Jaish stressed that the excellence of the university’s journals confirms the trust of Palestinian and Arab world researchers in the university’s journals and their scientific quality. He highlighted that the Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies Deanship attaches significant interest to the university’s journals in terms of selecting editorial boards and arbitrators, as well as the confidentiality and sobriety of the arbitration process
