IUG Faculty of Education Academician participates in “1st Palestinian Educational Creativity” Conference in Turkey

Dr. Munawwar Najm, a faculty member in the Faculty of Education at the Islamic University of Gaza, participated in the “First Palestinian Educational Creativity” conference, held in Istanbul, Turkey. The conference was organized by the International Palestinian Creativity Association (IPCA) and the Turkish Association of Solidarity with Palestine ( Fidder) under the slogan “Palestinian Creativity in the Educational Process: Challenges and Prospects”, in the presence of Palestinian and Turkish officials, and with the participation of Palestinian official figures and stakeholders in the field of Palestinian education.

The conference discussed several areas, including: the theories of talent and creativity, the educational institution and its role in developing creativity; curricula and strategies that stimulate creativity; and programs for discovering and sponsoring creators. It also discussed topics related to the degree of school principals in the Northern Governorates of Palestine in practicing management by values and its impact on the level of professional creativity for their teachers. Furthermore, the conference tackled the role of Palestinian curricula and their proposed teaching strategies in developing creativity among students of the upper basic stage from the teachers’ viewpoint at some directorates of education in Northern Palestine, and the effectiveness of using the smart notebook application and the interactive board to design interactive educational activities in and outside classrooms in public schools.

Dr. Najm’s participation during the conference sessions is represented in a research paper titled: “The Experience of Female Students of Educational Administration in Disseminating Scientific Research.”
