The graduate, Muhammad Hassan, who holds a master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Islamic University of Gaza (IUG), won second place in one scope of Palestine Islamic Bank Award for Scientific Research, which was announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Mr. Hassan applied for the award in the scope of: Impact of financial technology on banking and financial services sector and its applications in Islamic financial industry. He won the award for his research entitled: “The Impact of Investment in Information Technology on Financial Performance: An Applied Study on Banks Listed in Palestine Exchange”, which is Published in IUG Journal for Economic and Administrative Studies.
Prof. Youssef Aljaish, Dean of Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies, congratulated graduate Muhammad Hassan, and explained that this achievement is an addition to the numerous achievements made by graduate students at the university, the last of which was the winning of 6 graduate students with the 2nd University Student Researcher Award, which indicates the efforts of their supervisors in refining the skills of students to reach the ranks of distinguished researchers.
Prof. Aljaish called on graduate students at the university to participate in all national, regional and international competitions and scientific activities, which would increase their research expertise, and raise the university’s name in various scientific forums.
