Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies Deanship at Islamic University of Gaza celebrated the honoring of distinguished researchers in international publishing for the year 2021. The ceremony was held in the presence of: Prof. Nasser Farhat, IUG President, Prof. Yousef Aljaish, Dean of Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Bassam Tayeh – Vice Dean, members of the university’s academic staff, and distinguished researchers in international publishing.
Prof. Farhat said: “The researchers are a group of distinguished people who raised the name of the Islamic University in international rankings, by placing it at the forefront of the Palestinian and Arab universities. That has been achieved through their remarkable efforts in doing scientific research and publishing it in journals, as well as providing science and knowledge to students.”
Prof. Farhat pointed out that the Islamic University continues to provide bestowal to the successive generations in which they work and join, indicating that scientific research continues and scientific process is in progress and development.
Prof. Aljaish emphasized that scientific research is one of the reasons for the tremendous and rapid progress in the current era, and the most important basic factors in development. It is considered one of the main pillars of the Islamic University in addition to education and community service, and a special budget is allocated for it.
Prof. Aljaish hinted that the university is keen to encourage researchers to publish their research production within prestigious global databases through the adoption of the promotion system, the adoption of the list of excellence, the discussion of scientific theses, and the adoption of the international publication reward which focuses on publishing in journals and global indexed databases.
The ceremony included honoring (22) distinguished researchers in international publishing for the year 2021.
