Faculty of Information Technology at Islamic University of Gaza, in cooperation with the Technology Club, held Technology Open Day 2022 in the presence of Dr. Iyad Al-Shami – Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Raed Rashid – a faculty member, Mr. Arafat Abu Jrai – Director of the Faculty, administrative and academic staff, and a large crowd of faculty and school students.
Student Shadi El-Telbani, Technology Club Head, spoke about the Faculty of Information Technology, its establishment, the purpose of its establishment, and its mission. He also referred to the faculty’s departments, specializations, objectives, and the market need for each major and fields of work
Mr. Muhammad Shamaa – from Business and Technology Incubator, emphasized that having skills generate ideas for people, through which they can create projects, and establish teams to work remotely through digital platforms, which provide opportunities to work with international institutions abroad.
Mr. Shamaa stated that the entrepreneurship track enables students to obtain financing opportunities, establish companies and then work remotely. He explained that the university’s business incubator provides funding opportunities for owners of pioneering graduation projects, in addition to the freelancing program in its technical fields, which annually graduates a large number of students.
The open day included a review of success stories of IT graduates and students, competitions, entertainment and honors.
