Physiotherapy Department organizes a workshop on the reality of graduates and labor market opportunities

Physiotherapy Department of Faculty of Health Sciences at Islamic University of Gaza organized a workshop on the reality of graduates and labor market opportunities. The workshop was attended by Dr. Mohammed Kraizem, Head of Physiotherapy Department, Dr. Amani Mazher, Deputy Head of Physiotherapy Department, and a group of employers in the Ministry of Health and related institutions.

Dr. Kraizem welcomed the attendance, noting that the workshop was in line with the faculty’s operational plan, which aimed primarily at discussing the reality of physical therapy graduates, identifying the weaknesses and strengths of graduates, and establishing mechanisms for developing and upgrading educational output.

The study plan and its development methods were discussed during the workshop in order to serve the current labor market and achieve competitive advantage through adding extra practical courses, continuously updating theoretical courses and enhancing field training courses in relevant institutions and hospitals.

Participants underlined that further attention should be given to physiotherapy specialization for the purpose of promoting the profession, as well as the need to consider the quality of study plans so that the faculty could provide graduates with skills and tools necessary for labor market and enable them to take responsibility and fully undertake their mission and duties.
