Crisis and Disaster Management Master Program, in collaboration with Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies Deanship at Islamic University of Gaza held a training day for a group of 30 students and graduates from the program, with a view to improving and strengthening their capacities in the practical side of theoretical courses.
Prof. Nizam Alashqar, Head of Crisis and Disaster Management Master Program, welcomed the training staff from the Palestinian Red Crescent, commended their role in supporting Palestinian society during the hazards they endure, welcomed students and graduates trainees, and commended the efforts of Scientific Research Deanship in sponsoring adjuvant activities that increase the capabilities of trainees in the practical side.
The topics of the training day revolved around early planning for evacuating buildings in the Gaza Strip in times of potential crisis. It included training on the fundamentals of practical and applied methods of first aid, psychological first aid, and advanced medical points. The method of group interactions and discussions was used during the training day.
