A cooperation agreement between Islamic University of Gaza and International Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – Malaysia (IESCO) has been signed at the Islamic University. The signing of the agreement follows a recently concluded Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Higher Education and Cinta Gaza Malaysia Organization to finance the project of “Excellent and Financially-troubled Students Grant”, and within the framework of joint cooperation to implement the project of ” IUG Needy and Affected-by-war-on-Gaza Students Grant” funded by Cinta Gaza Malaysia Organization.
Dr. Khalid Alhallaq, Dean of External Affairs, represented IUG party, and Dr. Mohammad Abu Auda, Representative and Authorized Signatory of the organization in Palestine, represented IESCO.
According to the agreement articles, IUG is responsible for providing an approved list of students to receive the grant who meet the agreed-upon selection criteria, providing all necessary information, documentation and facilities to the second party or its representative to carry out the functions of direct supervision of execution without hindrance, facilitating the task of any screening or auditing committees sent by the second party at any place or time relating to the implementation of the agreed project activities, documenting and photographing all project stages, as well as organizing a ceremony that gathers students and the parties to distribute the grant.
