The Islamic University of Gaza signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chandigarh University in India to corroborate and encourage academic and research partnerships. The memorandum was signed by Prof. Nasser Farhat, IUG President, and his counterpart Prof. Rajinder Singh Bawa, Advisor and Vice President of Chandigarh University.
The signed memorandum of understanding – which will inter into effect for five years from the date of the signing – aims to strengthen exchange and academic cooperation programs in areas of common interest, as it is a general framework and a cornerstone for further cooperation and discussions on future programs and cooperation projects.
In particular, the memorandum seeks to enhance and support short and long-term exchange opportunities for students, including summer courses, study abroad, joint supervision on students of postgraduate programs, academic and research exchange programs and opportunities for academics and researchers, and other joint cultural, academic and research activities that seek to enhance cooperation between the two universities.
