Business & Technology Incubator at IUG Runs “Reach and Roll” Event of LOGIN Project

Business & Technology Incubator (BTI) at IUG successfully executed the activities of “Reach and Roll” event that crowned the second round of LOGIN project. The project is run by BTI, funded by International Bank, and administrated by NGO Development Center (NDC). It aims at enhancing the online self-financing opportunities for Gaza graduates.

The event has been initiated to connect and network LOGIN trainees. More than 30 teamwork of different technological backgrounds were constructed to work on their businesses over three consecutive days.

Dr. Alaadeen Aljomasi, Dean of Continuing Education, expressed his proud of IUG graduates, including BTI trainees, who have approved their competence in every field of work.

Eng. Ala’a Alghalayeni, Manager of Gaza Projects at NDC, highly commended the outputs and achievements of LOGIN project participants  saying that: “Throughout my 15-year work experience in project development field, LOGIN project is the most successful among all of them. That because it plays a significant role in supporting and refining the skills of graduates, so they can obtain sustainable freelancing  jobs”

Eng. Basil Qandeel, BTI manager, pointed out that LOGIN project is one of many that BTI periodically implements. It is executed at two rounds targeting more than 500 male and female graduates. In its second round, the project accumulated revenues of around $300,000. These revenues are earned by the trainees of the project via the online jobs they managed to have on different freelancing platforms.

The event included several activities spanning over three days. The first day was about Networking among the LOGIN trainees. Mentors of the project highlighted the networking process, its benefits, and how to cooperate internally to successfully complete the tasks that demand integrative teamwork.

The second day was about team building, self-marketing, entrepreneurship, fund raising opportunities, freelancing market needs, CV professional writing, and networking mechanisms.

The third and the last day of the event included a closing presentation about outputs and achievements of each teamwork. This is in addition to honoring the winners of “Rising Talent” award which meant to select the best trainees in the second round of the project.

BTI has been conducting meetings and activities to seek its ongoing objectives of opening new windows to participants and trainees as well as merging different training areas in creative and innovative methods.
