Nadia Siyam: From University of Almeria in Spain to IUG Graduation Ceremony

The real success is believing in yourself and loving what you do, and being prepared to go to any length to succeed at it. It is worth every minute to consider what you want to do, to build ambition, and to bind confidence with dedication and education.

Nadia Siyam, a graduate of the Faculty of Arts majored in English, described the experience as “special” in every way. The Islamic University invited her to speak about her experience and story with the English Department.

“On a personal and academic level, this experience has added a lot to me” she remarked.

“On a personal level, the academic exchange between the Islamic University and the University of Almeria in Spain, as well as my first trip to Europe, taught me to be self-sufficient, to discover the modern world, and to form relationships with students and academics from various countries around the world,” she said.

“On an academic level, this experience allowed me to study literary courses in a very broad manner, which helped me build a perception of completing my higher education,” Graduate Siyam stated.

According to her, integrating science and work, learning skills and experiences that qualify for the industry market, using the persuading method, critical analysis, and pure scientific study, and combining these things all at once is the summit of brilliance.

Ms. Siyam stated that she improved her English language abilities, learned new teaching methods, and was able to create new contacts with teachers and classmates from many cultures and nations as a result of her exchange experience. She says: “I do not forget the grace of my father and teachers, for being best supporters of me in my academic career during my learning period.

Ms. Siyam, who works as a teaching assistant at IUG’s English Department after graduating with a GPA of 94.6, considers the early steps of her achievement to be a foundation for her future learning.

“I advise everyone who enjoys learning and traveling to take advantage of the student exchange possibilities offered by the Islamic University through external relations, because they bring fascinating experiences and invaluable knowledge,” she continued.

She goes on to say, “The most beautiful expressions of gratitude must come before our letters and at the end of our lines, revealing the honesty of our hearts’ flowing meanings. All thanks to Islamic University of Gaza for everything it has done for me and all students in all fields.”

Finally, I can only say that the initiatives and chances for international exchange are fantastic, and I would like to participate in them again.
