Prof. Naser Farahat, President of Islamic University of Gaza, received a visit from the secretariat of Palestinian Medical Forum – Student Branch (PalMontada) of 2020-2021 round. They were welcomed by Dr. Said Alghorra, Dean of Student Affairs and Dr. Fadel Naim, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, plus the presidents of student councils.
The visit came to crown the efforts of SANAD campaign, a funding campaign set by PalMontada to help students in need releasing their pending graduation certificates.
Dr. Said Alghorra highlighted the campaign results which yielded in releasing 73 certificates for students at IUG faculties of medicine, nursing, and health sciences.
IUG President thanked PalMontada members for their distinguished and constant activeness in various events they take responsibility of, particularly their remarkable accomplishment in SANAD funding campaign in which they managed to collect more than 110 thousand USD of donations that helped in releasing the pending graduation certificates.
Dr. Fadel Naim affirmed that the PalMontada accomplishments are a translation of the goal set by the founding dean of Faculty of Medicine Dr. Mofeed Almokhalalati, may Allah bless his soul, which is to build influential students who are both socially dynamic and academically excellent. Dr. Naim expressed his tremendous gladness of this meeting with PalMontada that embodies the true fulfillment of that goal.
Mr. Omar Alnajjar, PalMontada chairman and SANAD campaign coordinator, underlined the exerted efforts that led to the campaign success, hinting that administrative organization and institutional work PalMontada applied in executing its projects and external activities have been an essential ground of achievements they made in accordance with their vision and strategic plans.
In the conclusion of the meeting, IUG president presented an honorary medal to PalMontada chairman as a gesture of appreciation for their fruitful efforts and outstanding achievements during 2020-2021.
