Under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Mahmoud Abu Moise, the Palestinian Islamic Bank honored three winners from the Islamic University of the “Palestinian Islamic Bank for Scientific Research 2020” award, which was organized in partnership with the Ministry.
The three winners are Dr. Hasan Albaba, Dr. Ahmed Alrantisi, and Dr. Manal Quieder. Dr. Quaider has been the only winner in this field of research “Developing a system for occupational and technical Education”. Her research title is “A proposed vision to overcome the challenges faced by technical education programs”. While, Dr. Alrantisi, who is also from the Faculty of Arts, has been ranked second in the field of “Economic empowerment of women and the poorest groups as his research entitled of “The Role of NGOs in Achieving Social Support”. Dr. Albab, who is from the IUG Faculty of Arts, has won the second place in the category of “Enhancing the status of Jerusalem ” as his research is about “Jerusalem in the Light of International Law”. He gifted this winning to the residents of Jerusalem whose resilience have strengthen all Palestinians, he delightfully expressed.
Honoring the Participants was in the center of the Ministry of Higher Education in Ramallah. During the ceremony, Presentations were introduced about the winning research and its scientific importance, which were in the fields of economics, banking, economic empowerment of women and the poorest groups, in addition to enhancing the status of Jerusalem, quality and excellence in higher education, and the development of a system of technical and vocational education.
His Excellency Minister Abu Moise praised the efforts of the Palestinian Islamic Bank to support the scientific research process in Palestine, and praised the qualitative research provided by the researchers. He called on all Palestinian universities to participate and work to promote the culture of scientific research in the educational process and build a generation that is sufficiently knowledgeable and aware and capable of achieving the aspirations of Palestinians.
Dr. Dr. Ahmed Osman who is the Director General of Scientific Development and Research in the Ministry, stressed that a distinguished group of researches for eminent researchers competed on the fields of the award. The chosen research were ones that add important scientific value and touches the issues of society, pointing out that the evaluation process was conducted by a research jury comprising specialists with high competence in the field of scientific research in various Palestinian universities.
