On Tuesday, 27th of October 2020, the Islamic University of Gaza has resumed the partial face-oriented education of its students with safe and healthy procedures taken in buildings, halls, laboratories and squares and in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education.
Since the early hours of the morning and by the influx of concerned students to the university, all measures of prevention and safety were immensely taken at corners of the university. At the entrance gate and allocating places, there are specialists for conducting a temperature check for all passers recording all the data to ensure that the health of students and staff is in safe.
As soon as the students get into the classes and laboratories, they neatly abided themselves with the social distancing procedures and wearing masks and using hands’ sterilization, in a way that keeps the face-to-face educational process goes forward alongside the e learning.
The university had earlier prepared a wide range of guidelines and awareness bulletins on the definition and prevention of the CORONA virus. Since the beginning of the crisis, the university has not ceased publication of multiple awareness video materials and designs through the university’s social media sites to guide students toward safe ways to prevent catching the virus.
On social media sites of the university, students showed their immense readiness and happiness over the wise decision of resumption the educational process expressing that they are enormously longing to the traditional routines of the university. Some students said that taking face-to-face classes with friends and teachers makes the process much more adventurous and alive.
