A Study Day on Modern Trends in Software Engineering & Data Science

 

IUG Fculty of Information Technology in the Islamic University- Gaza has organized a studying day, at Tayba building; entitled “Modern Trends in Software Engineering and Data Science”.

Vice- Dean of Information Technology Prof. Al-Ijla asserted that the faculty of Information Technology seeks to conducting such study days to increase students and graduate’s potential in the various areas of information technology, pointing that the university courses are insufficient for the students to keep up with the latest technological development.

A group of experts, consultants and specialists in Information Technology fields are hosted in this day which fulfills the faculty’s aim in providing all that is new to the students.

First Session

Concerning the sessions, there were three sessions. The first session addressed software development and modern methodologies in which Eng. Mohammed Yaghi spoke of “The use of frameworks in web development”, Eng. Khalil Saleem presented the application of Agile methodologies in software development and Eng. Mona Sbaih spoke of software check.

 

Second Session

The second session is labeled as “Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Technology (A.I.)” in which Prof. Wazen Shbair explained Chain Blocks, Prof. Nabeel Houiji spoke of Chat Robots in Humanitarian Work and Prof. Iyad Al-Shami spoke of Data Science and the Internet of Things (IoT).

 

Third Session

The third session is labeled as “Freelancing and Success Stories” in which Eng. Islam Mezied talked about the concept of teamwork through agencies, Eng. Saad Habeeb explained how to write project proposals and Eng. Hassan Al-Khatib presented the success stories of two graduates who’ve been active in the labor market.
