IUG-Engineering Team has got the First and Second ranks in the Digital Competition, Ja-Pal’s DigiBiz, held in Gaza and the West Bank via video conference.
An IUG-Engineer team has got the first and the second rank in the digital competition, Ja-Pal’s DigiBiz, under the auspices of The Palestinian United Information Systems Companies (Beta) in cooperation with the Palestinian IT Incubator (PICTA) and in partnership with the United Nations Program. It was funded by the Japanese company via UNDP/ PAPP.
The second version of the competition has targeted pioneer ideas concerning with the agricultural technology aiming to make a qualitative change in the Palestinian agricultural sector. Twenty-five entrepreneurs, from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, have participated.
The following students have got the first rank by their entrepreneurial project, (Integrated agricultural monitoring and controlling system using IOT): Ahmed Hani Al Ferawi, Mohammad Samir Abu Fares, senior engineering students in electric engineering, and the graduate, from computer engineering, Adnan Ahmed Abu Moamar. Whereas the two students; Salah El Din Taleb Abu Sh’ar, senior students in Electric Engineering, and Moath Kamel Awad, a senior student in mechanical engineering at IUG, in their entrepreneurial project ( Agro Robt), have got the second rank in the competition.
In the inaugurating ceremony of the competition, held in Gaza and the West Bank via video conference, the IUG contestants a 3-miunte presentation explaining and clarifying the nature of their project in front of the arbitration committee, specialties combined by Palestinian and Japanize academics and entrepreneurs.
