The Computer Engineering convened a scientific day entitled, “Recent Trends in Computer Engineering”, which organized in coordination with VISIONPLUS Company, IEEE and IUG Engineering Club; and focused on the topics: Cloud Systems, e-Programming, Data Analysis, Blockchain Technique, Freelancing, and IEEEmadc.
The Head of Computer Department confirmed that this day is one of the un-curriculum activities that make the engineering students familiar with every new in the field of computer; in addition, it rehabilitates them indulge in the labor market with most significant online skills needed for freelancing work.
IEEE representative, Eng. Jaser Zorob, said that IEEE has been established with a vision to create a good environment for engineers, which is full of training programs, courses, competitions, workshops in programming. The IEEE works to bridge the gap between old and new students by presenting about the experience of leading persons for different companies.
The director of VISIONPLUS Eng. Ashraf Yazouri elaborated the experience of his company in using Cloud Computing Services; software as a service” like IaaS, paaS, SaaS. Furthermore, he explained about the cloud providers and the deployment models used when dealing with the cloud computing services.
One of the students said that he needed to know about the skills of getting into the online work as he is about to graduate and he intends to find jobs on the freelancing platform due to the scarcity of employment in Gaza.
The representative of the Eng. Club Ms. Mai assured that the club is trying to meet the students needs through organizing such events and holding competitions for time to time.
