BTI Celebrates the Outcomes of Freelancing Projects

The total income of Freelancing Projects reached 160000 $ during 2018-2019 year as the Director of IUG BTI Eng. Basel Qandeel declared.

The IUG Technology Incubator has announced the major outputs of a number of projects in the field of self-employment which carried out to support graduates and help them get jobs in different areas, between 2018-2019.

The incubator has succeeded in developing the technical skills of 313 participants: 117 males and 196 females. The technical training, which reached 3,400 training hours, discussed various subjects such as Android and Apple operating systems, as well as various programming languages such as Python. The training happened to disseminate other skills such as translation, e-marketing, website development as well as graphic design. The incubator succeeded in rehabilitating and qualifying the trainees through creating topnotch profiles on the freelancing platforms such as Upwork and Freelancer. More than 70% of the trainees got the chance to carry out several projects on these sites with total income 160,000 $.

The total income of the trainees is expected to reach 200,000 $ by the end of this year. The ratios showed that females were superior than males in terms of total incomes by approximately 7,000 $ for females.

The consequences of this success were tremendous. Some trainees have been able to launch two online businesses via multiple online platforms to be acted as agent companies through which the participants can propose for projects; thereby increasing their chances of obtaining as many of these projects as possible.
