From Malaysia to Gaza: A Visit to Support Persons with Disabilities

A delegation from the Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) pays a backup visit to IUG Irada center    

Today is not a usual day for Irada Center. A Malaysian delegation from the Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) headed by Dr. Sani Arabi Al-Qahiri, the Chief Executive Officer of the Board, has precisely landed at Irada Center to follow up and support the persons with disabilities in a closer look, backing them up and boost their steadfastness. ” Our journey to Gaza is full of mission. I’d like to send this mission to all IUG students. Be strong in the sense that let us cooperate outside of Gaza virtually,” the Head of the Malaysian delegation hopefully expressed.

The members of the delegation have been impressed, during their trip in Irada, by the skillful trainees who were demonstrated of highly soaring spirit and who are seemingly not roped by the injuries or paralyze. They, the trainees, have a lot to thank the center for. What has been aiding them all the training projects along is the equal treatment and good services they have been exposing to at Irada community.

One of the success stories, Mohammed who shot at the back of his head and caused his four parts paralyzed, has extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Malaysian state, for the successful cure offered to him at the Malaysian hospitals. Continuing his story, he confirmed that the aftermath injury abandoned him disabled. He could do nothing since all of his parts were unmovable until he received the treatment at Malaysia which enabled him to still stand and move. However, he was still sinking into a shallow of despair due to the paralysis of the left leg. Whilst, he was experiencing no hope, Irada was building for him a bright future. He finalizing his story with a big sigh mixed with happiness, “Thanks to Irada, I have my own project now from which I’m making the living,” he added.

When he was questioned about the Irada’s future, the Head of the delegation asserted: “I believe that Irada is one of the centers that will be a strategic initiative to market the employees here to all over the world”.  

 

Islamic University has a long history of cooperation with Malaysia and there have been plenty mobility projects there. “We have a good relationship with the top management of Islamic University; last time Islamic university sent a lot of BA and MA students to Malaysia to continue their study,” one of the delegation members assured.
