Physics’ Department takes Part in a physics conference at Birzeit University.
IUG Department of Physics has taken part in the Third Palestinian Advanced Physics School which held to link Palestinian students and researchers with foreign specialists who are interested in the most advanced topics in the world of physics.
The conference will be taking place three days ahead from now at the University of Birzeit with participation from other Palestinian Universities: Islamic University, An-Najah University, Al-Quds University and Al-Azhar University in addition to a number of lecturers from different European countries.
The academic from IUG physics’ Department Prof. Sami Shaat confirmed in a meeting: “Such events have a great influence on integrating students in the sciences of physics in terms of getting involved in the overwhelming topics such as Cosmology, Atomic resolution electron microscopy, Semiconductor quantum optics, the Accelerating Universe and String theory”.
Besides lecturing, the three-day conference will comprise students’ discussions, heated debates, training workshops and presentations of fresh scientific researches in the world.
One of IUG physics students seemed enthusiastically attentive in the first lecture which presented by a foreign scholar this first day. Another one said that this event will open her mind to dig more and more in the depths of physics which actually seen and found in every aspect of life.
